# 217: on the big feast

A not so funny thing happened just before Thanksgiving.  The inadequately backed-up hard drive went.  Oh well, X-Mas arrived with a new laptop. Most of the drawings this blog is based on were saved, so it was just a matter of getting new programs, learning to use them, formatting the new computer when it became corrupted and restarting this project.  I had hoped to do 300 posts in a year & retire (or semi retire) Curmudgeon Greetings after that.  I was pretty much behind when the hard drive quit. Now i'm in catch-up mode.  So here comes the 2013 holiday season.  Better late than never?
